2 years previous outside media sales experience preferred. Must have valid drivers license and current auto insurance.
The Digital Media Specialist (DMS) for GAP Broadcasting is the primary market contact for all interactive sales. This individual is expected to have a thorough understanding of all website and online products and services offered by GAP Broadcasting. The DMS must be able to be equally effective at representing and presenting these web products in tandem with radio account executives (Integrated selling) as well as with their own direct clients. (Direct selling)
The DMS facilitates the sales and sales operations function for all online advertisers. The DMS will also be responsible for researching and prospecting current online revenue spent within the local market, prospecting, qualifying and presenting clients directly.
The DMS will be the primary internal communication point for online projects and products between GAP’s corporate digital team and the stations, The DMS should have a passion for learning new online products and be comfortable with taking a leadership role in bringing internet technologies to their local markets. A proven sales track record, great communication skills and an eagerness to work with others are all skills that are important in this role.

The DMS should also be proficient with basic Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Have a proficient working knowledge of the Internet including Web site best practices and basic knowledge of how social networking and Internet advertising works. Experience using a Web content management system, audio, video, and graphic editing is preferred.
